Whimsy is at the forefront of Jenn David Design’s Makeover Challenge submission. “It was about doing something different for the category,” remarks Jenn David Connolly, owner and founder of Jenn David Design. “We had fun with the design and made that part of the differentiation for the brand.”
Jenn David Connolly, owner and founder of graphic design studio Jenn David Design in San Diego, served as president of the judging jury for the first edition of the Mondial de la biere’s Bottle Design Contest during the 19th annual beer festival, the Mondial de la biere, held in Montreal, Canada in June.

Jenn David Design has been working with La Tourangelle (Richmond, CA), maker of gourmet artisan oils, since its French parent company, Huilerie Crox Verte SAS, introduced the brand in the United States in 2002. The agency’s challenge was to retain the brand’s traditional French heritage yet position the brand in a way that speaks directly to American consumers.

This project began with an AIGA screenprinting workshop I attended soon after Earth Day. I love how this project evolved organically and began with the act of cleaning up my neighborhood.
